Icelandair

The first installation of the Smarthandle™ was carried out successfully on an Icelandair Boeing 757-200. After AeroSmart Technologies presented the Smarthandle™ to Icelandair the company saw its operational value, and agreed to provide the test bed aircraft for the initial installation. After this successful installation and trail period, Icelandair committed to ordering and installing Smarthandle™ on to the remainder of their fleet. To date and with almost two years of continual Smarthandle™ service, Icelandair have not suffered a single Inadvertent Slide Deployment, proving the value of Smarthandle™.

Saudi Arabian Airlines

Saudi Arabian Airlines, having recognised the success of Smarthandle™ with its launch customer Icelandair, have placed Smarthandle™ orders for its fleet of 15 Embraer 170 aircraft. On completion of Smarthandle™ installation Saudi Arabian Airlines aim to equip all fleets becoming the largest airline in the world to offer full protection from Inadvertent Slide Deployment.
